Carol Ann Ostermyer
July 11, 1939 ~ January 12, 2023 (age 83) 83 Years Old
Carol Ann Ostermyer, age 83 of Fenton, went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2023. She was surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Robert for 60 years. Loving mother of Robert Jr. (Beth), Mark (Karen), Susan (Robert) Novotny and Gwendolyn Harbin. Carol also leaves 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings.
Carol was an excellent wife and mother. She was very good at saving money and was never afraid of hard work. She raised 4 children and enjoyed every second. She was sure to teach her children all she could, showing them how to cook, clean the house and do the laundry. Carol also was a proud grandmother and great grandmother, she spent as much time as she could with them. Carol was a longtime member of St. John’s Church Choir. She was active in the church, sewing clothes for over 1500 dolls for the Applefest. She enjoyed playing her keyboard, had fun at Bingo and was an avid reader. Carol loved flowers, especially spring flowers and she spent many hours gardening and enjoying the beauty of nature. Carol liked to swim and if there was water near, she would at least have her toes in it.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 11am at St. John’s Catholic Church, 600 North Adelaide St., Fenton. Friends may visit beginning at 10am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Tyrone Memory Gardens, Fenton. Donations may be made in Carol’s name to the American Lung Association or to the American Heart Association.
