Carol Jean (Bedell) Murley, age 86, of Fenton, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025. Carol, the eldest of eleven children, was born on October 27, 1938, in Paradise, Michigan, to the late William and Bonnie Bedell.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy Murley; her brothers Floyd and Donnie Bedell; her sisters Bonnie Bedell, Linda Richards, and Tammy Bedell; her sisters-in-law Karyn and Claudia Bedell; and her daughter-in-law Kelly Murley.
She is lovingly remembered by her brothers Roy, Denny, and Leon Bedell; her sisters Karen and Terry; her children Tim Murley (daughter-in-law Jennifer), Kelly Murley, Patrick Murley (daughter-in-law Amy), and Wendy Murley and her dear friend Becki; her grandchildren Rachel Murley, Josh Murley (Destiny, mother of Carol’s 2 great grandchildren), Andrew Murley (granddaughter-in-law Rebecca), Shelby Murley, Tim Murley, Caleb Murley, and Sydney Murley; and her great-grandchildren Clay and Cooper Murley.
Always the caregiver Carol worked as a LPN in the maternity ward at FOH hospital in Flint and for many years with Dr. Bostick at Crestmont Medical Center in Fenton.
Carol had a gift for making everyday moments special. She was a talented crafter, creating woodworking projects, ceramics, and countless porcelain dolls entirely by hand. Holidays were filled with her love — from home-baked favorites to the Halloween costumes she stitched for her grandchildren. She had an eye for treasures at garage sales, always finding just the right thing to restore and pass along. Her flower gardens were a reflection of her nurturing spirit, blooming with color and care.
Above all, Carol’s joy was in her family. She gave generously of her time, talents, and heart, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and warmth.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held on Friday, September 12, at Temrowski Family Funeral Home, 500 Main Street, Fenton, MI 48430. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., with a short service at 1:00 p.m.
