Carol Davis Obituary

Carol Ann Davis passed away Sept. 13, 2025, in Grand Blanc, MI.  She was born July 17, 1947 in Detroit, MI to parents Mary Helen (Bates) and William Madill Davis.  Her parents preceded her in death.  Carol Lived much of her life in Flint, MI, having later moved to Fenton and then Grand Blanc, MI.   

Carol was a loving daughter, sibling and aunt.   Her siblings are Nancy Ruth Kirshman, Charles Fred Kirshman, and Arthur Neil Norman.  Carol had a special and beloved niece, Hannah Rose Kirshman.   Hannah is now a resident doctor in training on the West side of the state, Spring Lake, MI.  Much thanks is given to Carol for her loving support, encouragement and guidance of Hannah in helping her accomplish her educational and career goals.  Carol was a sweet,  reclusive woman who will forever be loved and very much missed by her family!

Carol had a lifelong love of animals, especially dogs.  As a young woman, she raised her pug “Tiny” as a beloved pet and show dog.  She showed Tiny at local area dog shows and won some ribbons.  She also loved and enjoyed other dogs and cats raised over the years by the family. 

Carol was also a long time feminist who took great interest in societal issues affecting women.  She did what she could to affect change.  Carol took a keen interest in politics in recent years.  She was an avid reader who also enjoyed music, movies, and some travel, haven taken a cherished trip to the US Virgin Island with her mother years ago.  They also traveled to Toronto, Canada and shared years of happy memories from these trips.  She had a love for cooking and collecting interesting and healthy recipes to prepare.  Carol once enjoyed gardening and had quite a “green thumb”.  She grew lovely, healthy plants and flowers in the back yard of her home in Flint, MI. 

The family sends heartfelt thanks to the staff at WellBridge of Grand Blanc.  Carol was treated with such respect and kindness,  and always received quality care.  We will miss our exchanges while visiting,  sharing stories and updates about Carol. Thank you also to Compassis Hospice for your wonderful loving care of Carol the past months.  Thank you for introducing music to her room!  And, thank you all for the many alerts and updates you’ve sent to me.    

Per Carol’s wishes, she was cremated and her ashes scattered in a beloved childhood spot. Family will remember her warmly and celebrate her life privately.
