Barbara Sue (Hunley) Gerber

Barbara Sue Gerber went to be with the Lord on March 13th, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born on November 1, 1955 to parents Dave and Ora (Howard) Hunley. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Haigh, son David (Jennifer) Justus, daughters Stacie (Jeff) Golec, Roselyn (Jason) Blair, extended children Maddie (Ryan) McKee and John-Paul (Sarah) Haigh, as well as 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Known for her warm hospitality, Barbara’s love for her family shone through in all her actions, from hosting memorable holiday gatherings to organizing exceptional parties. Barbara made history as the first female meat manager at Kroger and later pursued her passion by opening her own bakery. Alongside her daughters, she also provided catering services for weddings. Her joys included gardening, flowers, decorating, sewing, shopping, and baking. Barbara cherished her family and friends, including her sister, nieces, and nephew. She will always be remembered as a pillar of comfort, bringing people together and creating unforgettable memories.

Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, March 21st at Holly Calvary Church 15010 N Holly Rd, Holly, MI 48442. Gathering from 10:00am - 11:00am. Celebration begins at 11:00am. .
