On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, Anthony "Tony" Van Wagoner passed away at the age of 62. Tony was born March 22, 1958 in Pontiac, MI to Neil and Natalie Van Wagoner. He grew up in Waterford and eventually settled in Fenton for the last 20 years. He worked many years in the asphalt business and ultimately started and ran his own company, Fenton Paving. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him, he loved hot summer days, sunshine, walking along the ocean and traveling. Tony and his loving wife Connie have traveled around the entire United States and Caribbean over the years. He also loved the Detroit Lions and had a passion for creating beautiful pieces from wood. There is no doubt he most enjoyed taking the grandkids on exciting adventures and picnics. Tony loved his entire family and all his friends, he filled them with laughter, showered them with love, and provided them with guidance whenever they needed it. Tony is survived by his wife Connie Van Wagoner (Cornwell), his 6 children; Angela Kopka (Tommy Knibbs), Jamie Sawyer (Becky), Amber Baker (Chris), Jason Sawyer, Ashley Link, Jessica Sawyer (Tommy Ludwig) his 12 grandchildren; Trinity, Gavin, Brady, Ava, Abigail, Tommy, Cameron, Daylen, Liam, Iyla, Jazlyn, and Blake, his parents; Neil Van Wagoner (Jill) and Natalie Van Wagoner, his brothers; Bill (Renee), Rusty (Liz), and Dave, his sisters; Nancy (John), Suzanne (Kevin), and Denise (Steve) as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Temrowski Funeral Home, 500 Main St, Fenton, MI 48430. Per the families request and covid-19 restrictions on limited capacity, if you are coming to pay your respects to Tony and his family, please do so in a timely fashion so that others may have time to do so also. Masks are mandatory.
