Ann Marie (Kerperien) Stephens

Stephens, Ann Marie passed away April 23, 2022 at McLaren hospital of Flint with her daughters by her side. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a burial service will be held at a later date at Crestwood Memorial Gardens of Grand Blanc.

Ann was born in Flint, Mi April 7, 1940 to John Henry Kerperien and Hilda Marian (Stratmann) Kerperien. She attended St. Matthew's School of Flint where she was a member of Future Nurses of America. Ann had many fond memories of her classmates and her years spent at St. Matt's. She met Orland Stephens on August 4, 1956, and they were married June 26, 1957. Ann attended Genesee Community College and obtained her L.P.N. degree while raising her family. She retired from McLaren after more than two decades of nursing services. In her younger days Ann enjoyed league bowling, and in the recent past was Wii bowling champion at her residence.She enjoyed genealogy, card games, reading, travel, social outings, Tiger baseball and time spent with family and friends. She was the person one could count on in times of crisis.

Ann leaves behind daughters Denise (Nick) Carbone, Julie Stephens (Rick Kessler) and Annette Stephens, her grandchildren John Michael (Alyssia) Stephens, Angie (Jimmy) Walworth, and three great grandchildren, Kayla, Aubrey and Lukas who affectionately called her Grannie Annie. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, son James Lynwood Stephens and grandson Michael James Bearup, along with many other close relatives and friends. She will be missed by many family members and friends and fondly remembered.
