Alan W. Kitto

Alan William Kitto, age 60, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, August 3, 2023 . He was born on July 26th, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan and adopted by his parents Georgean (Gean) Kitto and James Kitto in September of that same year. He lived his entire life in the Flint area, eventually settling in Fenton and building a home there. Al loved fantasy football, a gallon of morning coffee, a long vacation to anywhere tropical, double chocolate cake, talking for hours about the state of this crazy world and how to fix it all, and his family. He was much-loved by his daughters, who knew he was always there with advice or a joke, or his truck full of tools, or a back-up Thanksgiving turkey when the roaster accidentally got unplugged; also by his very special niece Hannah, who knew he was there for her anytime she wanted to talk or when she needed a listening ear; also by his grandchildren, who could always count on their Papa to show up for them in all the ways that count the most. He was a good man; a kind, hard-working, hilarious, responsible, fun-loving person that everyone truly enjoyed being around. He is loved deeply, and will be missed each and every day.  He is survived by his brother Steven Kitto; sister Jennifer (Kitto) Thornton; daughters Brienn (Regis) Kline and Danielle (Regis) Trotter; niece Hannah Green; grandchildren Sylvia Kline, Patrick Kline, Brennan Kline, Fiona Kline, Penelope Trotter, and Rhett Trotter; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his sister Marjann (Kitto) Baade. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 20th at 4:00 pm at The Captain’s Club, 10200 Woodfield Drive in Grand Blanc.
