Virginia Pratt

Virginia M Pratt of Fenton, Mi. passed away on August 18, 2019 at her home at the age of 95. Virginia was born in 1924 in Fenton. We will miss hearing her many fond memories of her childhood. She graduated as Valedictorian from Fenton High School. She became a wife, raised four children and graduated from Flint Junior College before starting work at Davis Reality. She then became a legal secretary at the office of Rene J Ortleib, esq. What a great partnership this became. She had so much respect for Attorney Ortlieb and considered his family as dear friends. She was fortunate  to have traveled by rail many times with her sister, Catherine.  Every trip was truly an adventure and the memories brought her great joy in her later years. She loved her family very much and enjoyed every minute she spent with them. She will always be remembered for her beautiful heart, her sweet smile, her wonderful desserts and her lottery tickets. Virginia will be missed by her children, David (Joan) Pratt and Susan Meier. Grandchildren Nicholas Meier, Michelle (Steve) Norris, Gary ( Dawn) Headrick, Andrea (Matt) Shaw. Sister Catherine Joslin and brothers Charles (Mary) Joslin and Gerald ( Aloma ) Joslin. Great grandchildren Nicholas and Rosemarie Meier, Samantha and Sabrena Norris and Savanna and Cameron Shaw. Many friends including Janis Emerson and the Judson family, many nieces and nephews. Our heartfelt thanks to VPA, Grace Hospice and especially Kim, who Virginia grew to love. Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Headrick, her son Dwight Pratt, and brothers Robert, Thomas and Richard Joslin. Private services and viewing were held at her home with special thanks to everyone who came to share our final time with our Mom. She will remain in our hearts and with us forever.
