Shirley Ann (Wilson) Walter

Shirley Ann Walter, 75 of Ovid and Medilodge of Lansing, passed away October 15, 2019 at McLaren Hospital after a long battle with Diabetes. Shirley was born in Saint Johns on December 17, 1943 to Charles and Marlowe Wilson. She graduated from Sherburne Country School, Ovid High School (Class of ’61) and Lansing Business University. She went on to work for the John Henry Company of Lansing before becoming a homemaker to raise her family in Ovid. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening at home and at Medilodge, polka music, scrapbooking, yard sales and raising animals as 4-H/FFA projects for herself and her children. Shirley married her late husband Lawrence Walter Jr (Toad) June 13, 1964 and is survived by her two sons Randy and Brian; her two daughters, Linda (Nick) Weber and Sherry, grandson Landon, brother Bill Wilson, best friend Edith Deming, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased in death by her husband of 46 years, brother Fred, and her parents. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Shepardsville United Methodist Church in Ovid on October 26^th at 1 pm.
