Mr. Raymond R. Woodman “Ray” – Age 89, of Fenton formerly of Detroit, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint. He is the loving husband of the late Lorraine Woodman. Mr. Woodman will lie in state Wednesday, 10am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11am, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Road, Howell, MI 48855. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4pm until 8:30pm, with a 7:30pm Rosary Recital at the funeral home. Ray was born July 31, 1929 in Detroit, the son of the late Edmund and Adeline (Dominic) Woodman. He graduated from Detroit Southwestern High School in 1947 and attended the Detroit Institute of Technology. On August 19, 1950 he married Lorraine Woodman in Hamtramck. Mr. Woodman devoted his working life as a chemist in the automotive industry. Ray was an avid hockey fan, playing through early adulthood. He was a devoted Red Wing and Michigan State fan, never missing a game. He loved playing cards, feeding the birds, gardening, his big, red tractor, and spending time on the pontoon. Ray was a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Surviving are his children, Ken(Marilyn) Woodman, Cheryl(Rick) Latinen, and Bob(Pat) Woodman; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces nephews and friends.
