Patricia Lennon Obituary

Patricia Ann Lennon, age 82, has passed peacefully on March 11th, 2019 at approximately 10:12 PM EST in Linden, MI. Known as ‘Pat’ to friends and loved ones and ‘Mema’ to her grandchildren; but to all, she is known for her full heart and active spirit. Predeceased by her devoted husband of over 45 years, John Lennon and niece Jane, and survived by their two daughters, Valerie (Ken) and Cindy, and five grandchildren Amber, Jack, Brittany, Libby, and Reagan; along with her sister, Priscilla, her niece, Vicky, and nephew, Richard.

Pat enjoyed traveling the world.  Some of her favorite travels were to Ireland and Greece.  Her husband’s long-time career with General Motors had them transferred to many cities. Prior to moving to Michigan in 2015, she spent over 20 years in Ridgefield, CT.   Her membership and leadership with the Ridgefield Garden Club in Ridgefield, CT, showcased her love and commitment to her community and the many charities they served. She spent a lot of her time volunteering at the Ridgefield Thrift Shop, playing bridge with friends, cooking, and baking. Those close to her can attest to her gourmet cooking, especially her homemade muffins and her ability to make any morning seem a little brighter. Pat was also devout to the Catholic Church as a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton, MI and formerly St. Mary Parish in Ridgefield, CT.

Her spirit ignited lifelong friendships and her dinner parties sparked memories that have always held dear to Pat’s heart. She has met countless friends, whom Pat considers very special friends and loves wholeheartedly. Besides her family and friends, the other loves of her life were animals, especially her late cats, Maurice and Howie. The family would also like to recognize Kevin and Judy for all their support during the final year of Pat’s life. Our family, although heavy hearted, is holding onto Pat; as our Mom, Auntie, Grandma, and Mema forever in our hearts. We love and cherish her with all our beings and will miss her and be thinking of her always. We plan to celebrate Pat’s life with family in Washington in the coming months.
