Nancy Kaminski

Nancy Jean Kaminski, beloved wife of Leonard "Frank", passed away on November 24, 2018 surrounded by family at the age of 86 from the complications of Congestive Heart Failure. She was born in Nahma, MI, the daughter of Charles and Geraldine (Malcolm) Remington. She grew up in Detroit, MI and graduated from Cooley High School in 1950. She married Leonard "Frank" Kaminski on October 30, 1954 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Detroit, MI. Nancy worked for 10 years at Mine Safety Appliances Co. in the billing department and then retired to become a full-time mom. Her family moved to Fenton, MI in 1978 to their property on Runyan Lake. She enjoyed spending time with her family, relatives, and friends. She also enjoyed living on the lake, reading, cross-stitch, cooking, baking, traveling in northern Michigan, and wintering in Florida. Nancy is survived by her husband Leonard "Frank", her son Shawn, her daughter Maureen (Robert) Wisner, her granddaughter Amanda Shimmel, great-granddaughters Kaylee, Kaitlynn, and Kaycee, and her older sister Marvel (Remington) Biess of Mancelona, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Charles "Chuck" and William "Gus", and her granddaughter's husband Arnold "J.R." Shimmel. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, 11am at St. John Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Friends may visit beginning at 10am. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
