Julie Christine (Combs) McFadden

Julie Christine McFadden (nee: Combs), age 49 of Swartz Creek, MI died January 15, 2019 of  Stage lV Metastatic Breast Cancer after a 6 year battle with the disease.   Julie passed away peacefully at home with her family surrounding her.  Julie was born on April 19, 1969 in Flint, MI. She grew up in Flushing MI attending St. Robert grade school and graduated from Powers Catholic High School where she played softball and basketball. Julie attended Baker College studying interior design. She loved hanging out with her family and friends, camping, taking walks and watching her children play sports. She was extremely proud of her children and considers them to be her greatest accomplishment. Julie was also extremely loving and caring of her 3 rescued dogs. Julie worked at ALDI for 17 years and they were like a second family to her. A special thank you to Dr. Iddings, Dr. Danish, Rose and Linda from the Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute and all who helped the family in any way. Preceded in death by her father-in law, Robert McFadden l, brother-in-law, John Sutton and sister-in-law, Kelly (Lucasse) Combs Survived by husband, Robert McFadden Jr., sons Robert lll, Reiley, daughter Hunter, parents William and Marcia (Schulz) Combs; brothers, Michael Combs, William Combs ll (Joan) and Matthew Combs (Leslie); sisters, Jennifer Sutton-Hildreth (Anthony) and Cheryl Pleshakov (Mike); mother-in-law, Peggye (Strode) McFadden, brother-in-law and wife Sean and Sharon McFadden along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and relatives. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 310 Cherry St., Flushing, MI at 11:00 on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Family to gather at church from 10:00-11:00. Julie will always be remembered for her zest for life, her love of family and her kindness to all.
