Joseph "Joe" Tali Obituary

Joseph (Joe) Tali, age 84, peacefully passed away on July 25, 2019.  He was born April 9, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Harry and Julia Tali. Joe was a 1953 graduate of Flint Central High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He continued his education upon returning home at the University of Michigan - Flint earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1960.  He reunited with high school classmate, Dawn Booth in 1965.  They were married a year later, sharing 54 wonderful years together. He was a dedicated General Motors employee, spending 30 years in the Buick Motor Division serving in a variety of financial positions. Joe was a very active and generous man, loved by all who knew him.  In his retirement, he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as taking daily walks, playing golf and spending time with his family.  Known as Papa to his grandchildren, he always put family first and was always there when needed.  Adored by his family, he was never without a mint in his pocket, had an infectious smile and a kindness in his eyes that will be sorely missed.

Joe is preceded in death by his sisters, Lucina Nasser and Marion Wilhelm and brother, Ronald Tali.  He is survived by his wife Dawn Tali of Linden, MI; son Kevin Pardee (Lorrie) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Sherry Quijano (Abe) of Byron, MI; daughter Kelley Sharon (Ed) of Naples, FL; daughter Tammy Tali; son, Joe Tali (Linda) of Grand Blanc, MI; extended family, Jim and Noreen Patterson of Swartz Creek, MI; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.  At Joe’s request a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
